Dear SCBC Family:
“You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.”
Let us shine forth the light of Christ and magnify Him together!
Please be in prayer for the following:
- Junior Worship and Children Ministry – Give thanks for the many children who attend Junior Worship and Sunday school. Pray for upcoming changes, such as new room for Junior Worship and new check-in/out system, to go smoothly. Pray for the Lord to bless and uphold all the teachers and helpers. Pray that through Junior Worship and Sunday school, children will be established in the Word of God and know the person of Jesus Christ. Pray that friendships will develop and deepen among the children and that they will learn to serve one another out of Love for Christ. Pray that God will raise up the next generation of godly men and women for service at SCBC.
- Women’s Retreat – Give thanks for the ladies of SCBC. Pray for a good time of rest and refreshment for all the ladies attending on Nov.6-7. Pray that the message would be God inspired and that it would be affirming and encouraging. Pray for God’s protection over everyone.
- Community Outreach Ministries – Pray for Hunger No More and Out of the Cold program. Give thanks that the Lord is our provider, and He has filled up our store houses to overflowing. Pray that the needy and lost in our city would see the love of God through the generosity of His people. Pray that the Lord would continue to bless and uphold all the volunteers and facilitators.
- Our Nation – Continue to pray for Canada and our new government. Pray that the Lord would continue to watch over our nation. Pray for the PM and his cabinet to govern with honesty and integrity. Pray that our government would be good stewards of our nation’s resources. Pray for fiscal responsibility and accountability. Pray for a spiritual awakening of Canadians who have turned away from God.
A reminder to set our clocks back one hour Saturday night as daylight saving time ends this weekend. I Look forward to pray together this Sunday at 8:30 am in the community room.
